    Question Sprint - Versamail-Gmail Acct.-Unable to create

I am having a problem linking my 700P to my Gmail acct. On the setup wizard I have entered all my information correctly, but when I test the connection it says that the login information or password is incorrect. I went to my gmail settings and enabled POP. Has this happened to anyone else and what should I do? Thanks.

    POP Port 995?
    SMTP Port 465?

I use SnapperMail...always works like a dream. I tried to make VersaMail work for me, but it was a PITA.

Yeah I tried all of that and it the wizard told me that secure was not allowed. I called Sprint and they told me to go to gmail/apps on my handheld. The site told me that gmail was not formatted for the 700P, but that I could manually log on to 'gmail on the go'. Did you use snappermail for gmail and it worked?

I currently use Snapper and have since my first Treo...it works very well. Is your gmail account setup/configured on your desktop and then transferred to your Treo or did you set it up on your Treo?

BTW, I have tried both configurations from the SnapperMail website and they both work for me tonight. You might go to their website and check it out...seems I had trouble with VersaMail and gmail as well, but it was so long ago I can't remember what it was!

I think you'll find it to be much more functional too, especially if you have more than one account.

Hey is there a setting where snappermail automatically send/receive and then notify me when I have mail, or do you have to manually check everytime you want to see if you have mail (push the send/receive button)?

Yes, there is: from the 'Preferences' menu, select the 'Delivery' tab. The settings are there. Good luck!
