Stability I'm sick of rebooting my Treo... I know it's not all PalmOS's or Treo's fault... sometimes it's the 3rd party software (Express from Handmark is my latest hassle, would be so great if it just worked, but instead it crashes consistently locking the phone up completely)
But it's not just lockups, the other day I couldn't make a call... apparently I wasn't receiving them either, but little did I know that... it kept trying and then nothing happened, so I had to reboot, and then everything was dandy.
Or sometimes it gets awful slow... and I reboot... at least a couple times a week, and I'm just sick of it. I was already to go buy a Motorola Q since they're pretty reasonably priced, but while debating whether or not I could live without a touchscreen I learned the Q doesn't have DUN over bluetooth (still unclear if this is the phone or the current Verizon offering)... which is a deal breaker for me... I saw hacks, but since my primary reason for switching is stability I'm not hacking anything.
Anyway... my actual question then, what can I do? Has Palm put out any updates recently? Is there a list of troublesome 3rd party software to make sure I'm not running any of it, what are my options here, this was a sizable investment for me and I'm really displeased.
Curiousity has me wondering, is the 700p more stable for people so far, how about the 700w? |
