   |  Still connected? On my old 650 (running blazer) when ever I was done checking my web e-mail or checking out a web page I would select the menu item to disconnect before closing my browser. The green connection arrows would go grey and I knew I was 'off' ... my 700p (again with blazer) doesn't offer the disconnect menu item. Should I be concerned? I have unlimited data plan, so useage isn't my issue, but I'd assume being connected all the time means battery drain.

|  If you go to the system prefs, then network, you'll see an option to disconnect. The 700p doesn't have the battery life my 650 did but I haven't noticed a drain directly attributed to being connected, FWIW.

| You could also take a look at Power Hero. It will allow you to automagically turn off the network connection (and a few other settings) after a set time.
