Sync outlook calendar hotsync mgr issue
Hello,
I have been having a problem synching my outlook calendar. Everything seems to sync great except for the calendar and contacts. I have gone to the "custom" menu, changed calendar to "sync files" rather than "do nothing." However, the settings keep switching back to "do nothing." When i set "synch the files" as the default, hotsync mgr crashes all together.
Any advice would be appreciated. thanks!

Hello and welcome to ET. I sync with Outlook too, and had that same problem when starting out. You may need to uninstall and reinstall the Palm Desktop software. That worked for me and for others, as well. Once I did that, I didn't get the "phantom" setting changes any more.

Hello rockpaperscissors,
This is Kevin from Palm. Also, do you have a Verizon Treo 700p and an Exchange Activesync account ? If so, this Palm Knowledge Library article may help resolve the issue: "Errors on desktop PC or other unexpected sync problems when HotSync conduits switched from 'Do Nothing' on a Treo 700p smartphone".
Sincerely
Kevin

This exactly what I was told. Is there anyway around it? The problem is that I synch with two computers. One is my work computer which I sync to an exchange server - so syncing with Versimail is great. My home computer does not connect to an exchange server. I would like to sync via a cable to that computer. Is there a way it can be done - even with a third party app.
