    Question Sync PC Media?

I have pTunes installed on my Treo 700p which also contains a 2g SD card. I HotSync on to Vista laptop with no issues.

I regularly have mp3 files that I want to sync over to the 2g SD card. I realize that I can remove the card from the phone and copy files directly but it's such a hassle to have to do every time. It seems there must be a way to just place or copy the files to a specific folder in Vista and have that sync to the Phone at the next HotSync. At least Windows Mobile ActiveSync works that way.

Maybe I can't do this to the card but can to the phones internal memory.?

    Informed Advice Appreciated.

You can automagically sync up pTunes with Windows Media Player. I didn't care for this as it creates a separate subfolder for every album, so I do mine manually.

I'm not quite sure of what you are intending. I probably didn't make my situation clear enough.

I don't have pTunes Software on my laptop just on the Treo. I create mp3 files using TextAloud of Articles etc. that I want to listen to as well as DL occasional audio Blogs/articles etc. I want to put them in some folder of my laptop where they will be picked up by the Treo on the next Hotsync.

Is this an impossible situation? Surely not.

Yes, that's doable with pTunes and WMP. Open pTunes on the Treo while in the cradle, and open Windows Media Player on the laptop. You can drag and drop songs to sync to the handheld.

Thanks for your patience but Hmm. Tried it. Not working.
How would WMP know to sync or transfer the files?
Into what area of WMP should the files be dropped?

You should have a Sync tab in WMP.

Check out this article on NormSoft's site. They have links for the different versions of WMP explaining how to set it up.

I think the easiest way is just to take the card out of the Treo and install the files with a card reader - but - maybe you could put the files in the palm install folder on your laptop , then hotsync and put on the card.
