| To complete this request you must connect to the internet I have a 700p with Sprint unlimited data. My treo keeps trying to connect to the internet even though I do not have any applications set up to poll at any intervals. I have disabled mail polling and I can not find any other application that is setup to access the internet without me asking for it. Is there some way to identify what is trying to access it ? It seems to be draining my battery. |

| At what time of day/night is it attempting to connect to the data network? if it is during the boot up process after a reset, then there is an application that is causing the action. Not every application plainly tells you it is interested in making out on the data network. There are applications that may be worth looking at - Phone Technician by Hobbyistsoftware is one that comes to mind.

| To complete this request you must connect to the Internet - I have seen this prompt before and it is an application up an update that needs to be done. PalmInternals has the ability to look at what is going on behind the scenes. Ben

| It is an application - and is attached. Before doing anything though, make a backup of your device. Ben

Thanks for the app - I have it installed and still not able to detect what is causing this. Is there a tutorial or a way to read the messages |

| There is definitely something that is running and yes, Palm Internals is capable of displaying a list of applications that are running in the background and alarms (basically the same concept with both). When you start Palm Internals, it will scan the databases in main memory and show you those applications that are running with set functions at specific times - there are 11 on my device. Check through there and see if anything is listed for the time period you are interested in. Post a list of the applications and I can compare them with what I have on my device. Ben

| When I have the application running on my PC , yes it works fine. It is an application that needs to be oaired with the desktop version. I just reset all the settings to default and deactivated everything - I will wait and see if that corrects it. |
