| Treo 700p automatically rebooting? I just purchased my Treo 700p yesterday. It has rebooted on its own accord twice since then. I've talked to a few friends who own the treo 700p who also have similar problems. Is there anything that can be done to correct this? I love the phone, but I really need stability. |

But I just bought this unit yesterday. I thought it was new? I was considering exchanging for a different phone, but I wasn't sure if there is a software fix out there or not.... |

| Was there anything the resets had in common? In other words, were you doing the same thing with the Treo when they occurred? Have you installed any apps on it? Did you attempt to sync anything from a previous Palm device?

| Unfortunately, my device is fairly unstable. I have learned to live with at least one reset per day. I do have a lot of programs on my Palm...but I still have around 23 mb of space available in my memory. I have not been able to figure out what is going on. Recently, my problem has been with Agendus Premier. I love the program, but it has been causing my 700p to reset. Not sure what to do at this point. |

| Give a few programs a bit of a try - Resco Backup, look at all of the options and choose the lock applications, clear db cache after backup and reset after backup.
Also look at Preference Doctor 1.4, enable the first 2 options, check the db cache monitoring area and select around 5mb or so.
rLock - locks those applcations that do not play well with the Palm OS.
The device can be made very stable with a little effort.
Ben

| Is there any way to tell if you've had resets, unless you were looking at the Treo? Is it possible that many people have frequent resets, but the Treo's were in their pocket, on the desk or they simply weren't aware of the event?

| Benjie...a little help...I tried preference doctor and didn't see much difference in the resets...I only had it for a few days...also, do I need to lock the applications that sometimes cause a reset? What does that do for it...make it a "permanant" application? Thanks for your help on these boards. Your expertise/experience has helped so many. I just wanted to give a truly heartfelt THANKS!!! |
