I checked the Palm site, and that reference is not there now.
As with most rumors, this come via Gadgets on the Go via TreoCentral. Someone noticed the software compatibility drop down over on Palm's software site has the Treo 700p listed. This is either a "bad joke" by an employee or a sign of things to come!

Almost every company has done the web "slip up" and quick retraction for a forth coming new product.
I would guess it's going to be coming out very soon.

Nice. I'll have to go look at it when it comes out to see what the differences are between it and the 650.Originally Posted by mattfromphilly

Yeah, I just read about this on CNet.com. Can it be true? But what about a GSM version?Originally Posted by chillywilly
I think for now, it will be exclusive to Sprint, although there was Verizon talk, too.
As far as GSM, Cingular and T-Mobile ended up getting the 650 after Sprint and Verizon had it.

I just read an Article on Engadget.com that stated the realease date of the 700p to be next week on the 15th of May. but who knows?

I think that's when it will be announced but not necessarily be the date that it's actually available to buy.Originally Posted by Ripliancum
I agree. I think we'll see an announcement on the 15th, with the 700p available maybe two weeks after that. Palm generally has a quick turnaround on availability after an announcement.Originally Posted by alex_mathews
