I want to know what the difference is between the OS of palm to the OS of windows, and can you download windows OS to the 700P and any of the window applications and programs.......jel

They are two completely different operating systems. Thinks Mac OS X and Windows XP. You can run Palm OS apps using a third party software application on the 700w running Windows Mobile 5. My guess is that you'd probably incur memory issues when doing this.

It's really a matter of preference...

If you're a Mac user, then the choice is clear -- 700p is more Mac friendly than 700w.
