This is a discussion on Treo 700p Ringtone Tutorial within the Treo Smartphones forums; I have sent myself several emails, but I can't seem to download the attachments. How do I do that?...

| Still can't get it I must be doing something wrong. I have tried with two accounts, yahoo and PCS mail. When I open the yahoo email I can see the file but it isn't underlined or anything so I can't click on it. It just looks like regular text.
On PCS mail, the messages show the little paper clip indicating an attachment next to the messages in my inbox. I can't select that either. Also, once I open the email I cannot see the attachment at all.
How do I send and receive again by the way?
Thanks for the help. |

| What app are you using for your mail? Is there an option to download attachments from the menu, once you're in an email message?

| Blazer From the phone screen I click, web, then messaging, then email, and the Yahoo or PCS mail depending on which acoount I am checking. I didn't see any option to download attachments.
I think I am using Blazer. |

| I think you're going to need to open it with Versamail, if you don't have any other mail app on your Treo. I don't think you can download from the Treo using Blazer. You won't be able to do Yahoo with Versamail unless you pay the $20/yr for pop3 forwarding, so set up your Sprint mail with Versa.

| Versa Mail works now but... I have PCS mail setup and I can click on the little attachment and download it. I never get the pop up window asking if I want to save it. I do see it at the bottom and I can click on it and play it in wave player but I don't see a save option anywhere. |

| I don't use versamail so I don't know what the menu options look like. Try opening the email, clicking the attachment to mark it for download, do a receive again (or whatever versamail calls it) to actually download the attachment. I'd imagine it would give you some sort of option to save it to the RAM, either in pTunes or more likely the voice memo.
Look for it in one of two places: In Tones, in the phone sounds part of Prefs, or in voice memo, where it should give you the option to make it a ringtone.
