Default Treo 700p to Blackberry 8830

Thinking about making the jump to Blackberry 8830. Any advice? Yes or no?

The 8830 is not 3G, the treo 700p is. If you use your browser at all or other high bandwidth applications you may be disappointed; for e-mail, the 8830 should be quite adequate.

The 8830 also has built in GPS.. unless you get it from Verizon. Verizon has crippled the phone so that they can sell you a GPS subscription.

A few weeks ago I asked the same question about 3G.. Chris gave an excellent reply.

Don't miss the link in his answer.

My contract with Verizon ends in July (I thought it was May, when I was eligible for a new phone). I want to move to Cingular when it runs out (just because I can't use my phone at my desk, besides that, I am quite happy with Verizon).

I am waiting for either a 3G, 128MB Palm with Palm OS or a 3G Qwerty Blackberry from Cingular (AT&T) to make me actually do the upgrade.
I am hoping something like that will be available by late July.

I work at a major company in NYC and everyone that has a Treo has complaints. I purchasd my Treo with Verizon as a perosonal assistant to keep track of my calander, to-do lists and my contacts. I use it to check email (personal) and for some basic social communication. But I'm getting more and more frustrated with this unit (my 3rd) and I have made up my mind; I will be moving on to a Blackberry (looking into the Curve on T-Mo when it's released). I think the Treo is good for what it does and while i'm not in the "I can't live without it" boat, I do like having it at hand. But enough is enough for me. Sorry Palm, I'm jumping ship.

I need the CD for the Treo 700p. We've moved and it was lost in the move. Please let me know where I can find one.

The support section at Palm is where it can be downloaded from.
