Then, even though I do a soft reset or remove the battery and wait before re-installing it, the phone would be blinking as if connected, but the power on (srceen) does not wake it up (again after a nights rest). What the H**L !
Any body else?
BTW: I called Verizon and all they say is "we will replace it" and they do not know what causes this but blames aftermarket software apps being installed.
One thing ya gotta say about Verizon, they are good about replacing the devices. I'm on my fourth, and finally seem to have one that's "somewhat" stable. One of the other three just stopped connecting to Verizon one morning for absolutely NO apparent reason. Anything's possible with these things. I'd just go get a replacement if I were you.
One word of caution: DON'T let them give you a "refurbished" Treo. You'll just be handed off someone else's problems. If you call, and ask for a second tier customer service agent, and put up enough of a stink, they will concede, and have you go to your local Verizon store and give you a BRAND NEW device.

I use VZW's service, too. And, I've often heard you guys say that you're on your 3rd, 4th 700p's. I've always wondered if VZW would give me a new phone if I ever needed it. Thanks for your input because I would have never settled for a refurbished phone.

I'm on my second Treo 700p. This was the first time I've had to swap out a Treo. The "o" key was getting stuck. Very annoying and there is no fix. The turnaround was a day or so and the phone (while refurbished) was in excellent condition. My antenna has suffered a bit of a fall, so the refurb worked out well for me.
