Treo Internet Help

I recently got my treo 700p (VZW) and it lately started dropping my network connection (internet only not my phone service) and its really annoying because my Toccer is always connected so i need my aim to always be online...anyway to fix this? is there an option or something to leave the internet on always?

Hi:

So are you saying your Toccer connection keeps disconnecting? When you say Internet, what do you mean? Toccer uses a data connection and connects to the AIM server directly. I just recently started to use this program and it has worked flawlessly on my Sprint 650.

Is it disconnecting while you are active or is it while you have an away message up? What version of Toccer are you running?

There are a number of mentions about 700p and 650 losing connections and reconnecting.....Also a mention about changing the port and that helped some.

By the way, if you want the Internet connected always I hope you have an unlimited plan if Verizon allows it.

well the problems not toccer disconnecting its my data connection disconnecting making my toccer sign off...and yes I have unlimited data plan

I have Verizon as well, unlimited data, "always on" internet connection. I've had it about a year now.

I've learned in that time, that depending on signal strength, battery strength, location, etc., etc., the device will disconnect and reconnect at radom, and [b]there ain't nothin' you can do about it![b]

It's just something you learn to live with, and after a year, I can almost predict, depending on my location, where the device will disconnect, and then reconnect.

Fortunately, it's ON more that it's OFF, and when all is said and done, is basically giving me what I need from it.

thanks I was just wondering...because I'm not new to the treo scene I've been a treo lover since the 600 and its just that my 650 was always on the data connection but my new 700p doesn't seem to do that...but anyway thx
