Default Treo password

I set the 700P to lock at midnight, but it locks itself randomly.
I removed the password, and now it still locks itsels randomly, security center says the password is gone.

What file is the password stored in? How do I set the lock up correctly?

well when it locks... its just lockin the keys... it always does that.. u could take it off if you dont want it thought...

Preferences > Keyguard > Auto-Keyguard... u could set to disable...

but i think it comes in handy when u dont wanna dial random stuff...

I have removed the keylock, didnt matter. It still locks randomly, needing the password I removed to unlock.

I have the same problem where my Treo locks up after about an hour of inactivity and I have to use the password to unlock it.

Hello RangersRule99,

This is Kevin from Palm. Sounds like you have Security set to automatically lock the device after a preset delay of 1 hour of inactivity. You can go to Security > tap on the AutoLock Device box, then choose Never, On power off, At a preset time, or After a preset delay.

ed11952, don't know if you resolved your issue, but there are two Knowledge Library articles that may help: "Changing the existing password on your device"
or
"Resetting your password when the handheld is locked"

Sincerely
Kevin

Hi Kevin,
Thanks for the reply. I have it set to auto-lock after 24 hours and still locks up early. Maybe it is a software glitch and I will try to set it to never auto lock and see what happens.
Thanks

I had the password set in the Wireless Sync settings. Removed that password and the problem is now resolved.
