Treo Stuck in ReBoot Mode...

My 700p is now stuck in ReBoot mode... I've done several hard resets to correct the problem & that's not work'n. Yesterday I post'd a thread entitled "Convert Voice Memos", I dwnld'd an app. call'd "SoundRec". The app. work'd fine for the most part. I wake up this morn'n and !POOOF! my Treo is flah'n on & off "ACCESS POWERED", "ACCESS POWERED", "ACCESS POWERED"... I thought it might be the battery not being charged, so I tried my brothers battery from his Treo and still NO GO!... Anyone have a clue??? :angry:

I normally say stay away from hard resets. Is there a particular application giving you problems? If not, execute a hard reset and then install the applications one at a time. Also SoundRec is an older application; there are others that are more stable.

As for the loop, that is an indication that the saved preferences file is messed up. The answer: hard reset and start over again.

Thanks Benjie... I wound up hav'n to do a Zero Out. The Hard Resets weren't work'n. I'm now patiently wait'n for my Treo to wake up... & what are the names of the more current Voice Memo/Record'n Apps... If you don't don't mind.:laugh3:

There are a couple of them that people swear by. The one I use is CallRec - http://www.qmobilsoft.net/. If you are looking for just something to record voice memos, then PAR Pro (http://www.toysoft.ca/par.html) is another - I use both depending on what I wish to accomplish.

Yeah I've already taken a look at CallRec, it's not OS X ready... I'm using a Mac PowerBook (PPC) OS X... CallRec is only good for OS 7 thru 9...

The ToySoft app. looks & sounds like it'll work though...Thanks... now once I get this Treo up & runnin again I'll be ok :laugh3:

I've had a similar problem with the Documents To Go app - specifically when I Exit an open document. Not every time, only maybe once a month. But enough that I now always sync before I Exit any document.

I also end up having to do a hard reset and wipe all data to get the Treo to boot again after.

:frown::frown::frown:The Treo is GONE! :frown::frown::frown: Had a Tech take a look at it & the official word is "The phones software is DONE!" Sooooo that means I'll be gett'n another 700p from the wonderful land of "Refurbia"... :frown::frown::frown:. Thanks for all your support & help...It's raining here, so I think I'll go outside & take a walk. (So nobody will know that I've been cry'n)... Peace... :wink:
