Turn off Data

I just bought a new 700p from verizon and I want to make sure I don't get charged for any data transfer, web email etc... didn't pay for a data plan and if I don't turn this off in the phone , they will charge me by the byte... anyone know how to disable this feature?

You pick up the phone, call customer service and tell them that you want to block data. Just remember that when you do this, that you will not be able to send any picture or video messages. You will only have the standard text messaging. This is what I have and it is just fine for me.
