Upgrading from 650 to 700p

I also upgraded to the 700P a couple of weeks ago but only because my 650 crashed forever. Verizon upgraded me to the 700P at no charge.
Anyway to make a very long ( 3hours) story short, while the Verizon salesman said I did not have to install new software for the 700P I could not sync to my PC.
Verizon was with me for 65 minutes and overseas (of course) to get it to sync and all I managed to have happen was my call was dropped .
Another call to Verizon, and then onto the Phillipines and we finally got it to sync, the only things I lost were my custom ringtones.
So beware about syncing the 700P without checking with your phone service.
