Since verichat is no longer for sale or supported, what would be the next best app to use for instant messaging? treo 700p ofcourse.

I'd avoid IM+ after seeing Josh's review. Here's an look at the field in the Treo Instant Messenger Roundup. Add Mundu and Causerie as a candidates.

I only use Yahoo's messenger. It's free. It's reliable. No annoying sounds. And it works.
