Exclamation Verizon 700p Email Reset Problem

On my Verizon Treo 700p, I am using the standard "Mail" program with Wireless Sync to get email from my Corporate Exchange Server. When I go to create a new message using the following steps: "Open Mail -> Click new email -> Move the cursor down from the 'To' field to Priority -> Move the cursor up towards the 'To' field"; the phone will reset every time this sequence is followed. This is extremely challenging, as I frequently will type an email and decide I need to add an additional email address or change an email address and this isn't a possibility with the current software. Verizon has sent me a new phone for troubleshooting purposes, but the exact same problem exists. If I select '#*#377' to see the detailed error log, I get the following message:

"A reset was caused on date while running 'Mail':
Table.c, Line:4047, Table already has focus"

I do not have any 3rd party applications installed (other than what comes in the default rom), and I have tried a soft, warm, and hard reset.

Help!

If I were you, I would try the free Trial version of a 3rd party app, like Chattermail. See if that resolves the issue.

Just curious, do both of those Verizon 700p's have a lot of lag? (IE: system freezes often when switching from application to application)
My Verizon 700p has A LOT more lag than my Sprint 650 did. Am starting to wonder if it'd help to exchange my Verizon 700p for a new one.

Please advise. And, let us know how the email situation turns out.

When I first got my 700p from Verizon, I tried the built-in mail with Wireless Sync and experienced the same problem. You're right, it's annoying. I sent the problem description to Verizon and never heard another word.

Since then, I've turned off Wireless Sync. After I confirmed with Verizon that it's just another way to Sync your data, I'll stick with BackupBuddy.

I've been using Versamail and for my limited use, it works fine.

IMHO, the Wireless Sync is a total waste of cyberspace. On my handset, it was the culprit for lags/delays.

They all have the lag - it is not a carrier problem. Ben
