Voice Dial by Voice Signal question I have to say, the Palm-based phones are about a million times more reliable than the PPC-6600 and PPC-6700s I've used for the last year or so, but one thing the PPC phones had was Microsoft Voice Command, a near-infalliable voice dialing and command program.
I'm trying to find something similar for the Treo: has to work well and be speaker independent so I don't have to train each of the hundreds of entries in my phone book.
Voice Dial works well enough, but has one annoyance: at random invocations, it pauses while it "prepares" my contacts list for voice activation or some such. This occurs even when the contacts list hasn't been modified.
Is this just some idiosyncrasy I'll have to get used to? A limitation of the trial version? Any ideas? |
