Have you looked at VolumeCare? www.gotreosoftware.com.

Even with Volume Care (I have it installed), the 700p has notoriously poor Hand Speaker quality. (I've noticed this on all four that I've owned).

I'm forced to use the "Speaker Phone" for 95% of my phone calls, just so I can hear who I'm talking to, and no.............I'm not hard of hearing.

Hollywood speaks the vocal truth on the 700P volume problem, though I find the speaker phone is not that loud either. Ben

On your Palm Treo go to "prefs" then go to sounds and alerts. Under sounds and alerts go to system you can change the volume in there. Hopes this helps.

The volume/preferences is negated when one does the volume up/down thing with the keys on the device. Ben
