VZ Navigator
What a really wonderful program. But it baffles my mind, it works with all the regular phones but not with smartphones.
Seems bizarre...
Anyone have a clue how to get VZ Navigator on the TREO?

Here's a quote from a PC Magazine writer. According to this, it doesn't support Palm OS.:
"VZ Navigator is now working on the Motorola v325, RAZR V3c & V3m, LG “the V”, and Samsung A930 phones. Perhaps surprisingly, it doesn’t work on either the Treo or the Motorola Q yet, because it doesn’t support those OSes. The other phones are much more widely used, but I’d still like to see it on the smart phones. It costs $9.99 per month or $2.99 per day (most likely how I would use it), with a 30 day free trial"
Sprint Treo 700p 2Day, 4Cast, Agendus Premier, BluePill, Butler, Chatter, Diddlebug, Flight Status, Google Maps, LightwavPro, MyBible 4, Noah Pro, palmPDF, PDANet, ProfileCare, pTunes Deluxe, QuickNews, Reset Doctor, RescoBackup, SplashID/Money, TCPMP, TealLock, UninstallManager, volumeCare Pro, ZLauncher

treo woes
Blue Tooth in my car is a great thing - that is, when it works. How about this? I made a call yesterday from my Acura MDX using the handy built-in Blue Tooth feature and it worked fine. Great! A few minutes later, I initiated a call and the car came back saying "No phones have been found". I checked to see if BT was "on" and indeed it showed as "discoverable to other devices". Hmmm. Messing with the battery at 65 MPH is just a tad dangerous, especially when you're frustrated. So that really stinks when you have a several calls that you need to make right NOW. Yes a fix is essential, Palm!
Also...
In general I find the text too small to read. Yes I increased the size... I thought Excel and Word doc's would be great, but they really don't cut it on such as small device.
Last thing: I was actually active on this forum late last year when nobody even knew how to pair the Treo to my new car. Atleast at that time it was easy to get a real person on the phone at Palm, one or two actually tried to help, a few, I trained. The big problem still exists, Verizon, Palm and Acura don't know even to peice together the puzzle. I finally did get someone at Acura who knew something about much of it, but by that time, I had it figured out myself.
The only time I really find the device to be more than just a phone is when I'm stuck in an airport. Now if only battery life was not such as issue. Syncing with MS Outlook is also good. But all in all, lots of $$ for a glorified phone and eyestrain. I hope the next generation addresses this stuff or I'll be looking to another manufacturer's solution.

I finally figured out how to add addresses and look up businesses on the web and synchronize them to my Navigator's "Favorites". If anyone is interested here is the link: http://my.telenav.com
