Wireless Sync Treo 700p communication error
I am hoping some one can assist me. I have been using wireless sync to sync my outlook to my treo 700p. It has been funciton fine until Mar 17 than I started getting communication error 80004005. I call Verizion wireless they said its not their issue. I called my corporate helpless desk they said since they don't support Treo palm they could assist me. I have deleted my offline file and rebuilt. I ran scanost and scanpst on all my folders. I completly removed my profile in outlook and rebult. Removed wireless sync and reinstaled. None of these have done any good. Verizon says they see the ping on there server but nothing after. I disables all my firewalls and still nothing. I am at wits end now. Searching internet for that communication error has done nothing.
Any assistance would be grealy appreciated.

Hi:
Are you syncing through an Exchange server or to a desktop computer?
This error message is on your Treo, correct?
All that I saw when I searched that error code seemed to be relating to Outlook, mostly servers and desktop Windows errors.
One solution offered if you are syncing to your desktop is to run "Detect and Repair" on your desktop Outlook- it is under "Help". The poster indicated it had solved that problem syncing a Treo to a desktop Outlook. A corrupted PST file is often the culprit.
Finally I also saw a reference in Chapura's help forums:
Often, this problem is resolved by performing a Soft Reset.
To perform a Soft Reset: - Turn the device over.
- Push a pin into in the Reset Hole (or this might be located on the bottom the device).
- Release Pin.
- Sync.
If this does not correct your problem or if you have question about the information provided above, please contact Chapura Technical Support
Do you use any Chapura products on your Treo? Their software (PocketMirror, KeySuite, etc.) all ties into Outlook. I believe Chapura conduits used to be included up to the early 650 models until Palm did their own. Did you restore any old stuff you may have had an earlier Palm product on?
Hope something helps...

Stevve thanks for the response I am sync with desktop. I have tried all your suggestions as well. I have run scanpst to fix any personal folders to no avail. this is very frustrating it work than all of a sudden stopped working with the error on the desktop. I can send emails from treo no issue just can't sync any outlook folders.

Would like instructions on wireless Treo 700p sync
I realize this is old thread, but am wondering if you can instruct me step-by-step on how to sync my 700p via Bluetooth. I've followed instructions available over Net, set up serial connection on my Vista computer. My Treo does seem to start the syncing process, but then I'll get a "Please enter the password for the handheld" message. I'll get "invalid password" messages no matter what I do to resolve the problem. My PC required a password to set up the serial connection, but when when I enter the password on the Treo keyboard, I see different characters on the screen than I typed. I've managed to type the (what I think should be) correct password by experimenting with different keyboard keys, but that does not work either. Help!
