It works as well as you have a signal. I don't have broadband where I live and it still works fairly well. The only bad part is the low volume, you need to use headphones to hear it properly.

Has anyone figured out how to get the backlight on the Verizon Treo 700P OFF when listening to XM? If not, the battery won't last long.

I've had no issues with it working on the 700p. I'm using xstreamxm.com/mobile URL to login.

    Lightbulb Here is One Idea

It may be the long way around and a bit of a pain in the ***, here you go. Use the brightness feature on your phone (alt/P) to bring it all of the way down to 0. I know that this is not the fix you want but it will help until you find something else. Good luck navigating on the fly with this "solution." Please let us know if you find a different solution.

    Respectfully submitted.

    Informative Any Time

No problem. Glad to be of some help in this matter. That is why we are all here for. I love this place!! Would not have thought to add this service to my phone before viewing this thread. The "answer" was just an after thought. Please do not forget to let the rest of us know when you find a "real solution." Have a great holiday ALL.

    Respectfully - J

    Post XMstream program

Recently got xm on my 700p working and was told that the utility that runs it is called Kinamo(sp?). I have only seen it flash up once on the screen.
Anyway my question is how to use the display?
The default screen is blank with XM RADIO ONLINE shown.
By taping by volume button on my TREO I can get a standard play bar at the bottom with a back arrow in the left corner and a a double box in the right corner. Not sure what the double box is supposed to do, is there any help on this?
How do you navigate using this utility? Are there other skins that will show the aritist and song name currently playing? Seems the only way to wake up the screen is to hit the side volume button on the side of the TREO. Can anyone help me with this? I would be most appreciative.

Well - did some research on MYTREO.com and the best XM interface is not theXstreamXM Song Info
but this one -> Mini XM Login
This will appear like it does if you have ever tried XM from online on your laptop allowing you to set up favorites and seeing artist and title.

This worked fine on my old Treo but when I upgraded to the 700P now the page wont even load. Worked fine on the old one and I can access all my other web pages just fine. Any Ideas?
