2G storage card, treo says it's full at ~550MB

My Treo 700wx reports that the disk is full when I reach about 550MB on my Sandisk storage card. The memory in settings on the Treo shows the discrepancy, as does my computer (at least 1.39 free). Any thoughts?

It sounds like a hidden file on the card. Using your computer take a look at the card in Windows Explorer (or equal). Select Tools then select Folder Options in the Tools drop-down menu. Select show hidden files under the View tab of Folder Options and make sure "Show hidden files" is selected under "Hidden files and folders". Once you've confirmed you can see the files on the card you may see the culprit(s) eating up the extra space. Good luck and let us know...

also where did you get your card from? if it was off of ebay or u bought it from someone they might have jipped you out of your money by taking the casing from a 2gig that they had lying around and put it on a much smaller size chip, that has been reported to be happening alot on ebay lately and it just sucks because u get all excited to see a 4gig for buy it now $20, but then when u get it, storage full at 128mb! :angry: so also check to see if it is a true 2gig

woops sorry i just re-read ur post and saw u said it shows u still have more space available but cannot fill it correct? well in that case u might have a hidden file like Hoss has stated
