Are they going to come out with both the Palm OS and Windows OS phones at the same time or is it going to be different times? I hear that the windows one will be called the 700w and the Palm one will be called the 700p. Is that true as well?

No official word yet..other than it's going to be a Windows Mobile Treo. The 700w is the rumored name which of course has led to speculation of a Palm based 700p.

I don't think it will be that expensive unless it's unlocked. I think these phones will be under $500. Just a guess...

I have a 600 that I bought just before the 650 came out - I wish I had some warning of that, cause I was bummed. So now I've been holding off on upgrading to the 650 because I wanted to see what the next generation would bring. Now that I've seen the 700, I'm planning on getting a 650. Personally, I don't want Windows - I like Palm OS, not to mention all the money I've spent on apps that I don't want to go to waste. And $700? Are you kidding? Not to mention that the 650 price will probably drop after the new model is released so it's really going to be an extra $500 or so. The one advantage that I see with the 700 is that it will be on Verizon's new high speed network, which could be cool. Currently, I use my Treo for e-mail but as far as web browsing it's so painfully slow it's useless. Plus I'm too cheap to pay for unlimited data plans, so I can only download a few megs.
So: if you really need high speed data access or, if you feel the need to support Bill Gates' quest for global domination, get the 700. Otherwise, stick with the 650. Just my opinon.
