Default 700w or 700wx?

I just wanted a general opinion from 700w users and how they feel about their device? I really want to incorporate my schedule with my phone. I'm looking at possibly ditching the data plan with VZ. Does anyone have a stable 700w with only a few third party apps? Or should I just get the 700wx because it's that much better?

I am using a 700w on Verizon with TomTom and GoogleMaps. I love it. Sometimes it does get bogged down in synching, but for the most part (99%) it is an invaluable tool for me.

Do NOT get a 700w. I'm sure you'll find a few people who have 700Ws and are happy with them, but they are rare. Given the choice, the 700WX is, without a single doubt, worth whatever extra price they're charging over the 700W.

Seriously, just say no.

It's the memory issue... there's so little memory on a 700W that if you run more than two programs at a time, you may very well run into problems. If you never use anything besides the built in applications, and don't need to run them concurrently, you might be ok. For most, it's not worth the risk. Still, if you have a 30 day return policy w/ your provider, you could give it a try. For me, since I like to run a few different programs, I know the 700W woudln't suffice.

Thanks for the straight answer Jonahan. That's the kind of info that I needed. 700wx it is!

Jonahan, new 700wx owner (waiting for it to arrive on 7/30). What is the largest SD card can I use with the wx? I come from the Dell PDA units and size was pretty much unlimited.

I'm not really sure, to be honest. I use a 2 GB card. For a while, that was the max, but I think 4 GB cards work now too. Sorry, I can't really help you much here.

From what I hear 4gb SD cards work in the 700wx, but NOT the "SDHC" (High Capacity) SD cards. They have to be the normal 150x SD cards.

From a post on another forum it seemed this was one of the few anyone was able to find:

Transcend High-Speed Secure Digital Card (150x) – 4GB - $43.75 - amazon.com
