700W Phone Problem - Treo Forums

I recently purchased on Ebay a 700W that was represented as "works beautifully". I activated it and it works very well as a PDA, however the phone presents a problem. When I receive a call, most of the time, the caller can't hear me but I can hear them. I haven't muted the call to my knowledge as I don't know how. Anyone have this problem, hopefully with a solution.

I've had both the 700w and the 700w/x. I've never had this problem, but others in this forum have. There is an audio patch available through Palm's website that should help. Also, make sure that you are using the latest software version. -Jessica

I researched the audio patch and found it is only compatible with version Treo700w _1.22-VZW. Mine is Treo700w_1.10-VZW. Is there a software upgrade available which would then enable me to download the audio patch?

I know that there is a software upgrade. It should be available through Palm. But, with VZW, they also have it available on their website. You just have to go to www.verizonwireless.com then select the "support" tab, choose "phones and devices" under this tab. then from there, select the manufacturer of the phone and press GO, then the phone model. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page, on the Downloads list, choose "Palm Treo 700w and Palm Treo 700w/x update" option and then just follow directions. -Jessica
