So much for looking forward to today...
I called and they told me it wouldn't be available until the earliest being the 9th of September. Anyone have anything different on this?

Sprints Internal Playbook (on the net now!
) shows 9/3 as launch. BUT not all locations will get it. Only major sellers. So if your store is small or sucks at selling new phones you will have to wait till mid or the end of the month.

Waiting for mine today. UPS tracking says it's out for delivery so I'll finally get my hands on it

BTW I went through a whole lot of trouble starting Sunday to get this thing. When I called customer service and asked to purchase the phone for some reason they couldn't even though the phone was on the website. Something about it not being in the system. Went to like 5 different stores all of which got only a few in and they all sold the phones. Ended up calling sales on Tuesday and have them sell it to me.
One curiosity is that they seem to have charged the credit card for the phone and credited it to the account. I assume at some point the phone will show up as a charge on my Sprint account though that $500+ credit that shows up on there looks kinda cool

The Honolulu Sprint store got one yesterday and in I walked looking to try one. There was a display area with nothing there. I looked around and saw a clerk, so over I walked and there in his hand was the 700wx. I tried it and it works much like the Verizon 700w I have, but it is significant faster when handling multiple apps. No slow downs at all.
Now I just have to convince myself to let go of the money to purchase it, as I am not eligible for any discounts. Letting go of the 600 and 700w will be painless. I might get rid of the 650, give the domestic boss the 700p - that would make the entire thing less painful! She says I have too many toys right now.

I thought I would be graduating from my Treo 650, but all I hear from Sprint is.... "The 700wx doesn't offer....
The Windows Mobile powered Treos are definitely a different breed. It takes some getting used to and you will find yourself scratching your head about a few things. That in mind, there are some positives. First off, you've now graduated to EvDO - which will allow for fast connections for email/web. One thing I miss with my 700p is the Today screen of the w/wx. I loved the Today screen on the w.
Here are a few mileage programs.

Thanks Chris - There are so many negatives, but that could just be my regretting some of the things that meant a lot to me... that are now gone. Like Privacy Mode. My phone's out on the desk often, and today a manager sent me a text concerning a call she monitored that went bad... while I was speaking with the very employee in my office. She wanted to make sure I was abreast of the entire ordeal. The employee saw my phone light up and recognized her name. There must be SOMETHING I can do other than to try to HIDE my phone... And I've lost the smiley's as well. OR... since it's Windows, can I just download smilieys like I would on a regular PC.... I'm all out of sorts...
Next, I can't keep it from vibrating every 20 seconds when I'm charging it in the cradle. The Active Sync is connected (don't know how to disconnect it and still charge the device) and it's vibrating every 20 seconds as if a message is comming in.

Whats the difference between the W and WX
Am I missing something here?
I thought that the X was for extra memory. When I look on the Palm site, they compare the W with the WX, and they both have the same amount of memory. See link bleow.
