It's the program memory that has doubled. Here's a breakdown of the 700w memory configuration. Basically, the new 700wx doubles the RAM. Palm doesn't do a very good job of distinguishing these phones.

Question

That's right. I wonder why the Sprint associates didn't know... or say that? Makes me leary of their ability to help....

It's hit or miss. I actually had a very good experience with them regarding a Treo 700p that I was activating for my wife. There were issues with connecting to the internet and they solved in a matter of minutes.

Hey Guys and Gals - My 700wx keeps thinking that I'm creating a new relationship with Active Sync. I just sync at home and at work. When I get to work, it tells me that I must delete the home relationship... or the work relationship (the one I've already created) before I can establish a new one (the same work relationship). Can anyone tell me why it's doing this. If I go home and try to sync, it'll do the same thing....

Next... I'm looking for a way to condition (free up) the memory. It's starting to become very sluggish and load pages VERY slowly. I've cleared the internet history, and deleted the temporary files (from the options menu), but I don't know what else to do.

Love my Treo
My first one ever and I have to say that I'm pretty impressed and glad to have it. I had a Body Glove case but had to quickly ditch it and get a pouch. I like the feel of the phone much better that way and the touch screen is much more effective. Added WizBar2, some games, my own program breeds, and some productivity stuff.

As far as the phone vibrating every time you sync that's a setting in the sounds where you check or uncheck the vibrate option for active sync. It might even be the e-mail. I found that if you have it check email automatically it'll vibrate or beep or both throughout the night until you check these messages. I finally turned off this feature because it was draining my battery (every time it does this the phone briefly turns on).

I do have one gripe...but it's not with the phone itself. I got my wife a PPC6700 for our anniversary back in April. It included the desktop charger. The Treo package didn't have one of these. WTF? I mean you pay top dollar for this thing so why not include the desktop charger? I don't need the extra little drawer for the extra battery either. They could have just included a basic base without it (the PPC6700 has a slot for an extra battery BTW). But oh well...it's on it's way to my mailbox after having forked over $25 for it.
