700wx Internet Always On?

Ok so here is what I need...

I have a handful of doctors using the 700wx and we have an application that we use that allows the doctors to submit and review drug orders for patients here. This application requires an internet connection so that the client application can communicate with the central servers.

My problem is that after a certain amount of time, the EVDO connection closes. Then when a doctor goes to connect to the medical servers, we receive an error message. Is there a way to run something in the background that will keep the connection open continuously?

If not, does anyone know if there are any API calls that can be made to Windows Mobile 5 that will initiate a connection?

Bryan,

The only thing I know of that I am using is a program by Triangle Powers called "700wx hacks" which allows me to keep my treo internet connection up at all times. Get it here.
