700WX slow/freezes & ppc6700 can't display text messages - Treo Forums

Hello Everyone,
I recently switched from a PPC 6700 to a 700WX, and so far, I'm getting a little disappointed. It seems the 700WX processor is much slower than the 6700 and can't handle processing several functions at once. For instance, it always freezes when the phone is checking for new emails.

Also, I can't send text messages to my husband, who still has the 6700. He can send to me, but when I send to him, his phone reads "cannot display message".

Please advise.

That sounds weird I never had that problem and I have the 700wx and 6700. Have you tried to soft reset and see if you are still havin the same problems...

Yes, I've tried a soft reset on both phones with no luck. I called Sprint and they informed me they were aware of the problem an will release an update by the end of Nov. I also asked them about the 700wx processing slow, that they had not complaints about.

What is the speed of your processor? Mine is 312Mhz, my old 6700 was 417Mhz. I'm wondering if I should exchange for another 700wx from Sprint, this is really annoying me.

I just bought a new 700wx from Sprint and it is VERY slow also. Did any of you ever figure it out? I'm about to pull my hair out. It nearly locks up when checking/receiving e-mail.
