    Default 700wx -vs- PPC-6700

I just switched from the PPC-6700 to the Treo 700wx...and I am SO glad I did! While I enjoyed my 6700, I like the Treo much better. The only thing I miss about the 6700 is the larger keyboard...but that was inconvenient since I had to slide it out everytime I needed it.

    God bless the Treo!

Default Is the 700wx slow like the PPC6700

I have a PPC6700 and I too am looking at switching to the Treo 700wx. I like the WM5 concept because I am a Windows user and it basically mimics almost all desktop functionality. However a good phone it is NOT due to the minutes it takes to switch apps and register input...like dialing a number or answering the phone...I miss alot of calls because by the time it realizes I have pushed "answer" the call has already gone to voicemail. So I am wondering if it is just an inherant problem with Windows Mobile or if the Treo handles it better. The Treo does have a slower processor so that makes me very skeptical. If anyone has experience with these two devices or if you think the Treo is slow......please give your thoughts and advice. Thanks.

I have no problem with the processing speed of the Treo 700wx. However, with the current problem with the SMS patch interfering with Bluetooth and EVDO status, I do NOT recommend it at this time.

The Treo 700wx is the best sprint phoen you can buy. Right now that is 12/13/06. I jsut switched from the PPC-6700, and i am so happy i did. The only thing the treo doesent have is wifi, which isent that great if you have the data plan. I had it and used it once, no big deal with that. One thing i did hear that the Motorola Q is coming out for sprint so that might be cool to wait for that. http://www.gizmodo.com/gadgets/cellp...int-218738.php

I have unlimited data and text msgs. But I'm not familiar with WIFI. Are you saying that there's no need for WIFI if I have the data plan? Maybe a better question to add to the one I just asked is: What is WIFI, and how is my Treo700wx limited since it doesn't have it? Thanks for the help. I'm a novist.

With wifi you can hook up witha wirerless modem. So if you dont have a data plan you can check your emails and stuff using your home modem. I had the 6700 and never used the wifi because i had unlimited data. But most of my friends dont have the data plan and there always using the wifi.

Thanks. I guess I'm glad that I have unlimited data.
