Question A few questions.

I must start by saying I am soooo glad I found this site...it's awesome! I am a very new Treo user. I recently purchased a 700wx thru Verizon and have a few questions.

1.) How do I set the conduits for my Treo to overwrite Outlook when I sync?

2.) When I open my contacts the default list is set on ALL. Is there a way to set the default to only show a sublist (PERSONAL in my case) when I open contacts?

BTW, I have noticed my Treo runs a bit sluggish when the phone feature is ON. However, when I turn it OFF the PDA features work nicely. I went into a Verizion store and the guy said it should work just as fast with the phone ON or OFF. Is he right? Could I have a defective Treo?

Thanks for any help.

I think I figured out the problem I'm having with my Treo being sluggish. I have noticed that just like a computer when I first turn on the device it takes a while to "warm" up. Once it is it performs fine. However, I don't know if it is normal for it to need to "warm up." The other two items I have not figured out yet.

Default A few questions

Question 1:
After you have done a active sync - 1. On "Treo" using Active Sync window go to Tools/Options/Settings "If there is a conflict" select "Replace the item on my Device". Treo should not be connect to USB to use this feature. 2. On "Desktop" using Active Sync window go to Tools/Options/Settings select "Replace item on Device".

Question 2:
When you set up your contacts you can set the ones you want as "Personal" as your Categories. When go to open up your Contacts you can select Menu> Filter>select "Personal". This will open your contacts as "Personal" but "only" for just that one occurrence. There are third party products out there that will get you to what you're looking to obtain. This is only a short term fix and you will have to do that each time you want just your "Personal".

Thanks Pap,

A few other questions:

1. Now, if I always want my Treo to overwrite OL do I still want the setting on the Treo to be "if there is a problem replace the item on the device?"

2. Do you know where the 3rd party software for the contact question can be obtained?

1. When you make the change on your Treo it will look for the change on desktop and vice a versa for PC entry.

2. Search the forum for the third party application(s).
