Default Activesync 4.5 not recognizing my device when reconnected

Hi everyone, the n00b is here.

Ok, activesync works fine on my 700wx. But when I disconnect and reconnect, I get an error message telling me to disconnect and reconnect, I do and get the same message again. I have to delete the device and make a new partnership againa and it works fine; until I disconnect again.

Anyone have this happen?

well if you have to reintroduce your treo and computer everytime you disconnect then active sync 4.5 is not working fine. Something is cuasing active sync to disregard the partnership or something is cuaing the partnership to disappear. Are you on verizon and using wireless sync as well as trying to use active sync? There s a conflict either software or hardware. Have you tried uninstaklling active sync and then reinstalling active synch. Did you have this problem with AS 4.2 that came with the treo?

Well I was cerytainly concerned about bugginess as I had numerous problems with previous installs of AS with a casio e-200 and Journada 567 I dont want to get started on a rant about those here. But I was pleasantly surprized with the installation of 4.2 with the 750 had no problems ( a first see above comment) And I was dubious when the DST patch instructed to upgrade to 4.5 and tried to avoid but the ptach did not work without it and so I upgraded and really have not experienced any issue (yet knock on wodd). I must admit that I am somewhat shocked when i reconnect the 750 and hear the pleasant sounds of AS starting and completing. Sorry that you have had problems and hope that a return to 4.2 takes care of your issues. Please keep us posted here.

4.5 is working now or the reinstall of 4.2? I have had no problems with either. I must admit a very pleasant surprize.

I had no problems with 4.2 but have only had my 750 for a couple of months. I upgraded to 4.5 when the instructions for the dst patch said to. Have not had any problems with 4.5 either KNOCK on WOOD. Had enough probs with active sync back in the days of the Casio E-200 and Jornada 567. Dont want those back ever definitely not the good old days of pocket pc.
