ActiveSync working reliably...

Since I have gotten my 700wx, I have had to uninstall/reinstall ActiveSync 3 times. Here's what happens...

Out of the blue and at totally randon times, I plug my phone in to sync and I get a message that alludes the unit cannot be synced. Try to disconn the device & reconn. If problem persists, see the troubleshooter.

So I followed all instructions in the troubleshooter and still didn't work. So I unistalled AS & reinstalled & that resolved the problem...temporarily.

Same thing happened again, this time I installed AS4.5. Well, a few days later, problem reoccurred. SO I went back to AS4.2 (b/c I didn't want to use the beta 4.5).

Soooo, I'm a a loss. I had mu Axim x50v for 1-2 yrs and NEVER had an issue syncing. Now I have them every few days here.

Any ideas or anyone else exp'g this??

Same thing happening with me..... Any answers out there? Its on the phone end (700wx) - I can sync no prob for a while, then all of a sudden the AS wont recognize my phone, so I go into the phone's AS and it has reset. I have to delete the association and reestablish it, which sucks because I need to wait and resync everything thats already on my phone!

when I first used AS on mmy cassiopia E-200 I has probrelems withe software installation initially and every so often when you went to charge it in the cradle or cable it would not recognize or connect. Usually a reset cured the problem. Same with my jornada 568 went with treo 600 and 650 gsm and now have a 750 no problems so far (knock on wood). AS can be a pin. Hopefully when WM6 comes out it will be less problematic than ASS has been .
