Default annoying texts from verizon..pls help! no clue what they mean!

i just bought a treo 700wx from a friend. i had another friend connect it over the phone..(he works for verizon). after the connection and programming went thru i started getting this text from verizon over and over....

pls forgive if this is a dumb question but this is annoying me. any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have Verizon and have not yet received this message on my 700wx. Have you spoken to Verizon about this yet?

Did you ever figure out what this was? I started receiving messages almost identical to this one and can't figure out what is going on. Verizon is trying to figure out but they haven't resolved it yet.

i think i know what exactly is happening. before i switched to the treo i had an LG ENV(crappy phone i know.) while i had the env i had my yahoo email account setup to send me an alert when new mail would arrive. now, this was not through the downloadable email sync program that you can get through get it now which is like 19.99. i was doing it through someother way and honestly i forget how, but each time i got an email it would pop up on my phone with an alert that said "new get it now message". weird i know. so basically i found that now that annoying text message is the same alert but i CANNOT figure out how to turn it off and verizon can't either, haha. i think im screwed and the only way to fix it is to just delete my yahoo account but that is a little severe huh? i'm stumped honestly. i mean i guess i could switch my service back to the ENV which i still have, try to unsubscribe to the perticular alert, then switch back to my treo. damn thats alot of work.....

I had a crapier phone before this one also and was getting text message alerts when I could receive emails from my work account but i know for a fact and double checked again today that I told my work email program to stop sending any type of text message alerts so i don't know if that is the problem or not. It is definitely driving me nuts though.

Did Anyone Find Out How To Fix This Problem. I Am Having The Same Issues But Can't Find Anyone Who Actually Got The Problem Fixed. Replies Would Be Greatly Appreciated.

Well I registered just to tell the outcome of the same problem I was having.
I called Verizon, Make sure you are on the phone with the Blackberry or PDA support team. What they did was turned my Blackberry off and turned my old phone back on. I went into the get it now feature and deleted my mail account. After that we turned my Blackberry back on and the problem was fixed. It took a whole 20 mins to fix the problem...

I had this problem all day -- since I activated my Blackberry Curve. Verizon had NO IDEA what the cause was. I just registered just to "Thank You".
