Another Email Question - Treo Forums

I am using the outlook program that came with my 700. I use 2 email accounts. I use one for sending and on for receiving (spam account). Is there a way to change the from one account to the other account when I reply to an email?

For example received a message on bill@gfo.com reply to same message with email address billy@dop.com.

Welcome to the newbie carpet (I'm at 6 days myself). If there isn't a way to do that then there certainly should be. I've only configured one email account so far (well, one and a half apparently) so I don't get an option in sending from Outlook as there is only one account.

I sent test messages to my personal email and my work email after setting up the email and received messages on both. This made me giddy. When I looked at the header of the email sent to work (which has to connect to an Exchange Server over a VPN connection) it had no data in it so I was stumped how I sent an email to my work account and couldn't duplicate it or alter the settings - so that is why I call it only one and a half email accounts so far. Maybe if I go and create a dummy email account then it will give a drop-down menu like real Outlook does and you can choose the account from which you want to send. Give me a few minutes to set that up and I'll be back.

Well I can't seem to get it to work. I can make lots of email accounts but can not receive an email in Email 1 but reply to it with Email 2; moreover, I can not even MOVE an email from one account to another. I even tried opening an email in Email 1 and selecting all and copying it and going to Email 2 and making a new email but it will NOT let you Paste it into the new email. Heh - undocumented feature? Copy and Paste is supposed to work from one window to another or from one program to another. Oh well. Just forward the email from your Spam account to your real account and then reply to it but don't send it back to your Spam account but put in the original sender. Quite a hassle if you need to do this often.
