Hi all

I am still learninig my new treo 700-wx in doing so I am baffled that I have bought a $20 vision pkg from sprint that has ON Demand, Unlimited Internet, Sprint TV, Pic Mail, & Music Store. I was told by sprint technical support that I am only able to use the internet only, nothing else works with the 700-wx im pissed, however there is a 30 day free trial :laugh3: before I start paying. There is a $15 dollar vision pkg that I could downsize to for internet only purposes but I tried today and it looks like my pic mail altleast works fine. What can I do about this problem without downloading something that I will regret for a long time (VIRUS)? any suggestions to fixing this?

There is nothing you can do. The 700wx will not work with the live t.v. portion of the $20 Power Vision package. They did not tell me about it either when I bought my phone. Get the $15 plan, it will have everything you will need. Then download the hack to be able to send pictures via text messages. it works perfectly now that I have installed it. No idea why this feature is disabled in the phones.

By the way, when I upgraded from my T650 to my 700wx, they automatically upgraded my vision plan to Power Vision (Sprint). They said that it wasn't an option. My plan went from $15 to $25. The rep said that I wouldn't get the near broadband speeds unless I did that.

And here is a secret about the Sprint data plans. I too was told that unless I upgrade my $15 vision plan to a $20 or $25 dollar power vision plan, I would be unable to get broadband speeds too. So I show the Sprint guy my phone and how it is showing EVDO, this is not suppose to be possible under the vision plan. He immediately calls customer service to confirm the issue and they actually tapdance around answering the question. He hangs up the phone and tells me that he does not believe Sprint and that I am indeed getting broadband speed without upgrading my plan. Since I get unlimited picture messaging under my old plan and live t.v. does not work with the 700wx, he suggests I leave my plan the way it is. We did and that was 2 months ago. I am still getting broadband speeds under the old vision plan even though they said that was not possible.

I was told the same thing when I switched to the 700wx from the 6700 but sprint took it upon themselves jus to upgrade my vision plan from $15 dollars to 20:angry:

Seems like there are different power vision prices in the name of the same plan. My plan costs $25 per month. There was no talk of a $20 plan. I have unlimited everything. Shouldn't the power vision cost the same across the board? It's just power vision right? Not PV Plus or PV Lite... right?

I was presented with a $15, $20 and $25 Power Vision plan when I bought my 700wx. The problem is that since you do not have the on Demand/Live TV possibility on the phone, the $20 and $25/month plan make little sense. If I remember correctly, the only thing the $20/month plan offers over the $15 plan is unlimited picture mail, the rest does not matter since you cannot use it with your phone. But the old Vision plan at $15/month offers unlimited picture mail but is not suppose to give you EVDO but it does. With the software hack, you can use the old plan and use picture mail for $15. Sounds like someone at Sprint was upselling you without telling you of the other plans. The $25 plan has extra features you cannot use on a 700wx. Somehting smells fishy here.

I will have to find what message board I got the link from. There is a hack that you can download that will allow you to send pictures via text messaging (MMS) but I cannot remember where I found it. I have been using it for 4 weeks now and it works perfectly. Let me see if I can find it....
