Belt Clip Case Recommendations
I need recommendations for a belt clip case. Please provide details as to why you chose/like the case(s) you use.

I picked up one identical to my previous phone belt clip. The one for the Treo did not work as well. It lasted for about 2 weeks and then broke to pieces when I got into my car one time. I still have the pieces to take back to the store in case they want to exchange it for another one but I'm looking for another solution. This clip seemed to always unlock the phone when I bent over to tie my shoe, etc. and unless I heard the click I would stand up and the phone would hit the ground. Who else has belt clips and do they work well/do you like them/are they functional?

I am using one of the Boxwave flexiskin cases - it comes with a belt clip option for a few dollars more. Its a swivel clip and seems quite sturdy. Nice being able to unclip and take the screw from the back of the case so its a smooth backed case when needed. I do find tho that slight 'bump' where the screw goes in is a nice resting place for a finger behind fone to support one handed txting etc

After losing a Samsung Uproar while bicycling, I look for a locking variety beltclip that wont slide from the belt. After that, good strong hinge points are a must. Next, it must hold the phone secure, yet accessible for ports, or use without too much hassle.

Robert - the previous belt clip I had with my LG VX8000 never waivered and would have held the phone to my belt through an 8.3-magnitude earthquake while the clip with the Treo 700 only required me to bend down to pick up a pen from the floor and it would click the unlock button. Maybe I should have worn it upside down so only pressing underneath the clip would have released it. I didn't inspect the belt clip closely when first purchased but I saw it a week later that it was cracked and maybe that is why it releases so easily. I'll look for that Boxwave you have AKG as I would like the option of removing the rear button to make it a smooth case. Thanks for the recommendation.

Thanks!
This information was very helpful. I was considering a case that simply slid onto the belt. Never even thought about is simply sliding off. Now considering one that fully clips onto the belt.

I decided to go with this one.....

That looks quite flash and sturdy bilkay.
More Hours - the Boxwave flexiskin has the option of your belt actually being treaded thru the back of the case should you wish (as well as a removeable clip) .I 've actually put the strap of a handbag thru slots so I could carry fone with me as bag was too small for fone to go in.

I missed the belt clip the first time I checked out Boxwave's website.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions and I'll need to get another one also. I don't mind one with a pass-thru loop in the back as I usually wear a belt but for anyone who is getting the normal belt clip (cheapie-version) from Verizon or similar store then know that the clip is very tight and all 4 of my belts now have some of their leather worn off where I clipped on the belt clip because of how tight it was to the belt and when it moved it scratched up my belts. Hrm. The belt clip was free but my belts were $20 each and now I don't want to replace all 4 of my belts - maybe just some shoe polish will cover up the scratches.
