Best IM and IRC Software?

I use Trillian on my computers to allow me to chat with anyone using 1 program including IRC.

When I search google I see several programs purport to do that. Which one(s) have you tried and which did you find best?

IM+ was recently reviewed here at Everything Treo. My personal experience is somewhat better than this review, but I do agree that it isn't perfectly stable! There is also mundu and another. One of the best (although expensive) was Verichat, but it is no longer available.

EDIT: Sorry, just noticed this was for WM!!!! Was viewing new posts since my last visit and didn't notice! Anyway, IM+ is available for WM, but I don't think mundu offers a WM chat app! Please excuse my not paying attention to which forum I am in!
