    Default Bluetooth

I have a 700w and just bought a Moto H605 headset and am having problems getting it to connect.

I paired it to my phone and then when I get ready to use it I turn on the BT on my phone, then turn on the headset (I have the "white" BT indicator on the phone) and then when I try to make a phone call it goes to my phones earpiece.

Any idea when I may be doing wrong?

    Thanks
    Joe

    Hi Joe-
Are you turning off Bluetooth and the device? In Settings > Connections, you should have a checkmark next to Turn On Bluetooth. On the 700w, the Bluetooth icon is white if it's connected to the headset. I just cycled the Jabra JX 10 and it went on when the headset was turned on.

I thank you for the quick reply. I went with my friend so she could purchase a 700 & the guy at the Verizon store told me that the PDA phones are notorious for loosing the connection.

Have any of you had this problem?

He told me to delete the partnership and pair them up again. The part I do not understand is that the icon is white, which means it is connected yet the call still goes to the earpiece....

    Thanks for the time,

To that I would say CSR's are notorious for misinformation.

In my history of using Treo's - that just hasn't been the case. I've used T-Mobile, Sprint, Cingular, Verizon. T-Mobile was the only service I took issue with -- but that's carrier related more so than Treo related.

When you say earpiece, do mean a wired connection or the Treo itself?

The earpiece I am talking about is the phone itself. So even with the white icon the calls still go to the phone's earpiece....

I would have suggested "deleting the partnership and pairing"...but you've done that already. If you have another headset that you could borrow or use, perhaps you can see if it's the headset.

How about while on the call, can you click on "Menu, Connect Bluetooth"?
