Brightness problems

I have noticed that I am not alone with the brightness either going to the dimmest level or just about.

Could it be a heat issue? or is it that my battery is begining to fail?

its an annoying problem.

It is a heat issue..... I have a 700p and 700wx... if the battery heats up, i.e. leaving it in the car in the summer time, it will dim. it will also dim if you are charging it up in a hot area. The treos have a heat sensor.. if the treo gets over a pre set degree it will stop charging or power down to cool off. For 600 plus dollars im glad it does

thanks man,i just noticed this recintly with my wx.I never seemed to happen before.I have been doing a lot of emailing for work latley lying in bed at night,and it's done it a few times.

Mine does this fairly regularly, however I'm not in warm conditions when it does. It's annoying.
