Default BT headset keeps losing it's pairing?

I keep losing my "pairing" with my BT headset (a Motorola H500). This seems to happen after some significant time (i.e. overnight) of not using the headset.....I believe when the headset automatically turns off (assuming there's some inactivity time threshold when this occurs). I turn the headset on, it shows in the BT devices on my Treo, but sound doesn't cut over to the headset. I have to delete the device, soft reset the Treo (or else it won't take the "0000" passcode required when pairing), and then repair it. Once this is done, I can get it working consistently for any duration of time of continued use. Next morning though, back to square one.

Verizon techs think headset may be bad....anyone else have this issue?

I found with mine that if I kept Bluetooth on all the time on the Treo and just turned off/on the headset, there were no pairing issues.

I have the exact same issue with the exact same H500 headset. You don't need to delete the pairing and reset the Treo though - just turn off the headset, disable the BT option on the Treo, enable BT on the Treo, then turn on the headset and wait for the icon to go from blue to reverse blue. The next call you make should be on the headset. I've had to do this two or three times before it worked but that takes less than 10 seconds per "reset" so it isn't really that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things.

I do agree about leaving the BT on the phone set to on and just turning off the headset. I keep testing it though and I like how the H500 turns off after a handful of minutes of non-use or when it is out of range so will read the manual again and keep testing.
