Default Buying a Used Treo 700w. Got Questions.

HI guys, new member and first post. I'm looking at combining my old PDA and phone to a used Treo 700w. I know to make sure the ESN is clean and buttons/screen work. My question is there a way to see how many hours are on the phone? I found a "new" one with no box and they guy says he bought it for his wife and she just used it as a PDA for a month and decided it was to big.

And anything I should look for that would help.

Thanks Greg

you can call the service provider and have the ESN cleared. As far as hours, they will not tell you that, violates their imformation policy. If the phone has been reset it was deleted

Are you committed to the 700w yet? If not, the 700wx would be a better device - more memory. Ben

he must have been getting a deal or something. Really unless you run multiple apps or play games, the extra Ram is not needed, but it helps

I picked it up for $100, with a extra battery and a blet clip. It did have some minor scratches near the ear part but overall not to bad.

I got the unlimited data plan now I have to figure out this email thing. Do I use the VZW wireless sync? Wireless sync directly yo my desktop? To my POP3 servers? Or just browse to the Gmail and Yahoo websites and check mail. I loaded some of my favorate apps, coming form a Dell Axim x50v I'm confused on this WM5 memory thing. I have 52megs for storage and 7megs left for programs, dosen't WM5 auto adjust it's memory to allow more for programs than storage? I loaded Wisbar Advanced2 , Weatherpanel, Flexmail 2007, and MiniMO.

I dont like surfing the actual email sites, such as yahoo you can use the delete and forward buttons on the site. As for the memory I do not know the answer to that. I never depend on activesync for email applications
