Call log not in sync with contacts. Help.

When I call a phone number, say 933-333-3333, the call log is showing the previous contact that the phone number was assigned to and not the current contact.

For example, I had "Dad Cell" with phone number 933-333-3333 then messed around with contacts (ie, deleted,changed name) and I now have "Dad" instead with the same number. The PROBLEM is that when I call "Dad" it comes up in the call log as "Dad Cell".

Can anyone help me figure out what is wrong?

Did you delete the contact "dad cell" when you created "Dad"?

Well I found out the problem. Is was speed dial. I had a speed dial set to "Dad Cell". So it seems the speed dial name has a greater precedence when making a call. Removed it from speed dial and then it used the contact name to dial.
