Can't install ANY software to my Palm 700wx!! HELP

What is the problem with my phone? I have tried installing multiple apps and all of them give me errors...example....tried to install goodlemaps.prc and got a 'no application associated with Googlemaps error. Run the application first, then open this file from within the application.' WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? Another app is spbpocketplus.....it says it is not a valid pocket pc application.

Any advise is welcomed!

I don't know why you are having issues with the download for Goggle Maps. Use this link http://www.google.com/gmm/index.html and scroll down to the bottom and download the the CAB file for your windows mobile. You can save it to your desktop if you choose and drag it to your My Device. Run an active sync and then open up your explorer in Active sync. Then just drag it to your device directly or you can drag it to a storage card. Either way your Treo will prompt you to install the the map. Hope this helps you get pass your issue. Downloads for Treo 700wx either need to say they are for 240x240 screen or Window Mobile 5. If this does not work you might need to contact the store you purchased it from you could have a phone issue.

The key thing here is you were downloading palm OS files (.prc). The 700wx's and 700w's are Windows. You need to find programs ending in (.cab).
