can't send text messages

Hi, I'm new to the Treo Forums.
I've had 2 TREO 700w's on verizon since 4/2006.

my son, who lives 40 miles away has some issues with his.
the problem today is he can no longer send txt msgs.

incoming txt works, phone works, internet browsing work sfine.
soft reset doesn't help.

I don't want him to do a hard reset until he comes out to visit
and we back up his contacts etc.

I figured I would just ask incase anyone has experienced this.

sounds like a version in your phone is not right you have to take it to verizon tech services and they call talk to a verizon rep. on the phone and the phone should be fixed then.
