coming back to 700wx
Hey guys need your help:cool: I had a 700wx for a little while and while I like it there were a few problems. Reset mainly. But I donr think I gave it enough time.
My son has one and he will not give it up. I on the other hand push into the blackberry. By the people at Alltel. I don't know if my decision was a correct one. I now think the 700wx will do what I need I text my son a lot and there's never a problem of him getting them I also get my Gmail and the blackberry mail when I use it so is the BB a lot of hype up phone. Can I get Gmail as fast as the BB or will it be the same. Speed?:embarassed: is there any software updates for the 700wx or didnt the window mobile get a fix. to be more stable?
thanks :embarassed:

Sorry for no replies. I'm in the same boat. As you can see by my handle, I own a Dell Axim and a separate LG phone on Verizon. I read a recent post on Aximsite that Palm is releasing WM 6.1 for the 700wx in July or August. Based on this news, I decided to bid on a unit on eBay. Except for the WiFi capability I will loose on the 700wx, I think it will do all I need.
Let me know your situation.

I don't blame you--I'm going back to a 700wx, a new one I found on eBay--and with the 800w taking all the attention these days, they're a bargain.
So far as I know Gmail with IMAP set up works much better than POP, which has had some people lose messages. I have Gmail too, so I'm curious how well it'll work. My g/f has a Blackjack II and WM 6.0, and her Gmail works very well on it. Just wish 5.0 would show HTML e-mails like 6.0 does.
I remember liking the interface and the Palm enhancements very much. BlackBerrys serve their purpose, but dang it, they're not Treos!
