Default Connecting Treo to Factory stereo

I have the 700wx with Tom Tom 6 installed, and I have XM Roady. I have the XM connected to a PIE aux input adapter so it feeds directly into my factory 2004 GM head unit, but I would like to be able to have the voice navigation prompts come thru the factory speakers as well. I tend to have my music up loud enough that the tiny Treo speaker is ineffective. Has anyone tried this?

On another note, my Treo won't ring on incoming calls anymore. If the ringer is set to silent, it will vibrate, but when not muted, I get nothing. The only way I know of an incomming call is with the voice announce feature. I have been through every setting I know of, and it should ring (and used to). All the other sound features work fine; email notify, missed calls, etc. Any ideas? My carrier is Altell.

It sounds like either the loudness of the treo speaker may be shot, or you may have installed some software that conflicts with the ringer on your treo now. If its a blown speaker well you can figure that one and if its a software conflict you will have to sort through your additions to figure out which one caused it and correct it.

I've thought about that, and have un-installed all third party software, but didn't solve the poblem. Now I was using an Akron powered mount, that in my opinion was sketchy at best, and may have led to the problem.

well that might have been the problem or you still may have an impaired on blown speaker. Yiou might try to explore the latter possibility to rule it out and then wotk on the Akron angle. Maybe another brand might work better withe the treo. Its beyond my knowledge level.
